Report To:

To assist walk in, online and telephone customers in a timeous, positive, friendly and efficient manner maximizing the sales opportunity as per group Standard Operating Procedures

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Implementing all standard operating procedures adopted by the company in sequence
  • Provide accurate customer services through quality checks and follow-up calls
  • Addressing customers concerns and resolving it in a timeous and professional manner
  • Generation of sales through either direct face to face, electronically, or telephone contact and responds to the customer inquiries promptly.
  • Keep all regular and routine customer updated with regards to changes in products and services of the organization.
  • Ensure priority customers are called daily before 8:30am to confirm orders for the day
  • Meet and exceed sales targets and objectives assigned by Branch Manager.
  • Communicate new product and service opportunities, special developments, information, or feedback gathered through customer interaction and forward onto sales supervisor or branch manager
  • Accurately capturing of cutting list
  • Self improvement in learning new product offerings and brushing up of product knowledge on a daily basis
  • Ensure cutlists are signed by customers. If approvals are over WhatsApp or email these need to be printed and attached to the order
  • Identifying full potential of sales oppurtunity and upselling higher value products where appropriate
  • Promotion of slow moving and dead stock items as highlighted by branch manager
  • Update quotation tracker and update until order is confirmed and paid for
  • Finding minimum 2 new customers per month and consistently looking for new business opportunities
  • Showrooms to be maintained and labelled correctly
  • Cleanliness and tidyness of sales counters and workspace
  • Actively promote monthly broad sheet items and driving sales towards it
  • Respond to all customer queries received via email or telephone messages within two hours
  • All offcut sizes to be added in Cutrite as a size/component
  • Default PBC reply templates must be used when replying to emails or online queries
  • All online query quotations must be sent out before COB on the same day received
  • All instore customers to be assisted before leaving for lunch or going home in the evening
  • Participate in quarterly stock takes
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
  • Computer Literate in Google apps, and MS office (excel, word)
  • Bilingual
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Able to deliver excellent customer service, externally and internally
  • Must have a good understanding of product knowledge and ability to upsell and cross sell
  • One year general sales experience
  • Ability to work individually and in a team
  • Own transport
  • Must be energetic and confident
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule and occasional overtime
Education and Qualification:
  • Grade 12 Qualification or equivalent
  • sales certificate / diploma will be advatangeous
Mandatory Requirements:
  • Computer literate
  • Minimum 12 months experience in sales
  • Grade 12 Qualification or equivalent
  • Fluent in reading , writing and speaking english
  • Good physical health.
