Report To:
HR Manager and HR Payroll Administrator
Purpose:
The purpose of the Junior HR Administrator role is to support the HR team with day-to-day administrative tasks, helping to keep employee records accurate, HR processes running smoothly, and employee queries handled in a timely and professional manner, while developing knowledge and experience within Human Resources.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Recruitment support:
- Assist with posting job adverts and managing applications
- Schedule interviews and communicate with candidates
- Screening, shortlisting, reference and credit checks

- Training and Development:
- Skills development submissions
- Seta submissions
- Employee training coordination

- Timekeeping support:
- Timecard update, corrections and distribution

- Labour relations support:
- Schedule of Disciplinary hearings / prepare DC packs
- Support with internal warnings
- Grievance and union support
- Accurate employee record keeping
- Issue monthly absent and late coming internal warnings

- Health and Safety support:
- Manage injury on duty claims
- Ordering of PPE and uniforms
- Follow up on health and safety reports and inspections

- Employee data Management support:

- Daily updates on system and google drive

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
- Professional verbal and written communication
- Professional discretion and integrity
- General knowledge of variant employment laws
- Exceptional mathematical and calculations skills
- Knowledge of different type of time and attendance software

Education and Qualification:
- Grade 12 Qualification or equivalent
- Related tertiary qualifications
Mandatory Requirements:
- Min 2 years experience in a similar role
- Own transport
- Strong administrative and organisational skills
- Ability to handle confidential information professionally
- Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
